Less than 10 km from the center of Imperia is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy: Cervo. This village near the sea has preserved its medieval characteristics over the years and is now a real pearl of Liguria. Its characteristic are the typical Ligurian alleys and the ancient stone buildings.
Dolceacqua is a very popular destination for the variety of hilly and mountainous landscapes it offers. Of importance is the Castello dei Doria at the top of the village, reachable after a walk in the middle of the carruggi, and the medieval stone bridge.
Apricale is a medieval village in the hinterland of Ventimiglia. The medieval feature has remained unchanged, and the castle can still be seen up high on the hill. Italian excellence is "Bandiera Arancione" and "Borgo più belli d'Italia"
Bussana Vecchia is a village in the hinterland of Sanremo mainly inhabited by artists, attracted by the place they restructure after a violent earthquake. It has therefore become a "village of artists" in a setting of a medieval village.
In the hinterland, a stone's throw from us, there are three villages that are worth a visit: Valloria, the village of painted doors; Bellissimi is the country of paper balloons and Lecchiore, with its crystal clear water ponds.
